The Penn State women’s volleyball team is in the midst of its NCAA Championship. One of its valuable senior members, Megan Shifflett, is a graduate of none other than Langley High School.
Shifflett, the daughter of Langley volleyball coach Sue Shifflett, played on the Langley team for four years and was team captain for three. She was awarded with the title “District Player of the Year” twice.
“Megan was [also] All-State…she’s an ‘off-the-bench’ player,” said Coach Sue Shifflett.
Megan now plays the position of libero (defense specialist) on the Penn State volleyball team, which is number one in the country, according to Sue Shifflett. She helped lead the team to NCAA Championship Titles three years in a row; the team is extremely hopeful that they will win their fourth consecutive title this year.
