The boys Varsity lacrosse team endured an unexpected defeat to Annandale in the regional semi-finals last night with a score of 8-12.
“They surprised us with an early lead, and we were never able to catch up,” said sophomore Robby Byrne.
Even with this painful loss on their records, the Varsity lacrosse team will continue to fight triumphantly until the last whistle. Tomorrow at Oakton, the Saxon lacrosse team will play West Springfield to decide their fate. In order to continue to states, Langley needs to win this match. “The loss [against Annandale] will motivate us to do better in states,” said Byrne.
