Keeping with tradition, Langley participated in the Russian exchange program this year. The Russian students visited America for a week, but spent only one day at Langley. They were impressed with the school and enjoyed their visit. The students enjoyed a lunch with Principal Ragone, who welcomed them with the assistance of a translator. After his greetings, the visiting teachers from Russia gave Mr. Ragone and two of Langley’s Russian teachers gifts to thank them for their hospitality and appreciation.
After lunch, Russian students were asked what they wanted to see and do in America. “We want to go to New York and the mall,” they said. One ambitious Russian student said she was already planning to come back to America over the summer to work; she also wants to attend college here. The Russian students and teachers will return to Russia on May 5. They are hoping to make the rest of their time here enjoyable and memorable.
