The Langley Choir, already well-known for its wonderful singing, showed off a new side at its last concert: dancing. The final show of the year, the “Salute to Disney,” on June 2 and 3 featured popular songs from beloved Disney movies, complete with creative costumes, colorful lights, and dance steps choreographed by members of the Langley dance team.
Disney movies represented at the concert included Song of the South, Toy Story 2, Aida, Enchanted, Tarzan, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Lion King, Newsies, The Princess and the Frog, Mulan, Camp Rock, Tangled, and Golden Dream.
The concert was by far one of the most energetic and enthustiastic shows of the year. The singers jumped, ran, hugged each other, came down to the audience, and even acted like Tarzan. The unusual performance certainly moved the audience. “Itwas really good,” said freshman Rachel Myers. “I especially liked how they did Disney music. Disney is my life.”
