The fight to get an Arnold Palmer vending machine installed in Langley is nearly over. Sophomore Class President Shy Daraeikia has put a lot of work into making this possible. From creating a petition to talking to the Fairfax County food and service director, a lot of time has been put into this project. The vending machine would serve as a fundraiser for the class of 2013, meaning all of the profits would go to the class fund. The goal is to have the vending machine put in the area outside of the main office, also referred to by many students as “the square.” Twelve-ounce cans of Arnold Palmer would be sold for $1.25 and would only be available after school. As of now, nothing is official, but Daraeikia is optimistic that the proposal will be approved.
