Emotions high, adrenaline rushing, and the tension on the court to get that last win for Langley. It was Senior Night for the Saxons on Friday, February 7 for the varsity boys and the stakes were high. Seniors, Jack Hoeymans, Sohrob Kermanchi, Nick Gasparis, Duncan Brown and Laith El-Rafey all were ready to dominate the court. Fortunately for them, the Saxons ended up winning against Herndon High 80-66.

After a tough, but yet redeeming match against the Herndon Hornets, many seniors could not help but to feel nostalgic about their past four years playing for the Saxons.

“It felt great to get the win on Senior Night, at the same time it was hard to believe that out time playing high school basketball together has come to an end,” senior forward, Sohrob Kermanchi said.

“It felt special to share the floor with the guys I had been playing with since freshman year,” senior guard Nick Gasparis said.

“I feel amazing. I have been playing with these guys since my freshman year so it was very exciting to get that one last home win with them.” guard Jack Hoeymans said. It was a very memorable moment for these seniors and it creates a special feeling like no other.

The atmosphere in the gym was special ever since these seniors stepped on the court at freshman. These four years are some they will never forget.
