The Langley track team had its first major track meet at the Christopher Newport University. Many Langley runners placed in the top of their heats such as Courtney West, Jake Peker, Miles Laubinger, Taylor Bohlen, and Mike Meyer. The meet was considered a great success by many and it was an important aspect of the 2010 winter track season. “I thought our team did well and our varsity runners really stepped it up,” exclaimed Zack Dailey. With their success at Christopher Newport, the track team hopes to continue their momentum into the following weeks against district opponents. The toughest competition is yet to come against district rival South Lakes who recently won the district title for the spring 2010 track.
