Izumi opened on Nov. 1, and many have yet to experience this soon to be hotspot of Great Falls. The restaurant itself is very small, with roughly 8 tables seating 4 each. Izumi is traditionally designed, but with an up-to-the-minute sushi counter. The atmosphere at primetime dinner hour is rather different from other eateries in the village. It’s filled with a buzz of excitement and interest.
Their variety of sushi will satisfy any craze, with their 50 different sushi and sashimi selections, along with the chef’s inspiration “omakase” tasting menu. Their signature Izumi roll is a whole roll tempura with salmon, yellowtail, crabstick, asparagus, and cream cheese.
Even if raw fish isn’t your fancy, they also serve other fish and meats in new and interesting ways, such as their pan-seared tilapia filet, which is served with mango salsa in sweet & sour chili sauce. They also cater to tempuras, noodles, meats, and vegetable dishes.
If you feel like something new, fresh, and snazzy, check out Izumi! It’s located at 9861 Georgetown Pike, in the Village Centre.
