Veronica Smith –– Assistant Business Editor

Hi, my name is Veronica Smith. I’m a J1 and a freshman at Langley High School. I have always had a passion for writing and photography so I thought, “Why not try journalism?” Even though I’m a J1, this is my 3^rd year in journalism. I took it in 7^th and 8^th grade at Cooper Middle School and have loved it ever since. Writing and Photography aren’t my only hobbies though; I am also on the Langley Girls Golf Team. I love playing golf, it is a way to meet so many new people and it gives you a unique characteristic about yourself that people find interesting. Being on the Saxon Scope is like being on the golf team. Even though you are working hard on your own article when it is all put together it’s a great magazine that everyone chipped in on. The Saxon Scope can be a lot of work but it’s always worth it in the end when you see your name proudly sitting in the upper left hand corner of your very own published story.
