Divya Tewari –– Staff Writer

This is my second year in journalism and first year on staff for the paper and boy it’s quite a rush! Writing stories and interviewing people might sound awkward or boring but it’s what I love about being a journalist, getting the scoop before everyone knows it and writing stories about it. I love to draw, hang out with friends, dance, and am currently trying to survive sophomore year with my GPA still intact. Taking journalism in middle school and now in high school has given me a lot of experiences I would’ve never been able to have if it wasn’t for the paper. Writing a story right before deadline and laying out pages with my fellow staff members has really gotten me to come out of my shell and become more outgoing. The Saxon Scope is a joint effort and feeling like I am part of an award winning paper makes me feel ecstatic.
