NBA Mock Draft

Predicting the 2016 Lottery Picks

The Larry O’Brien Trophy: it’s the ultimate goal of every team in the NBA. Everyone dreams of hoisting the golden trophy of victory.  A key to achieving this is the draft, which is why every pick is so important.

  1. Philadelphia — Ben Simmons (LSU) – Although I think Ben Simmons has shown a lack of effort by refusing to play in the Olympics and NIT, he has been the consensus number 1 pick for over a month.  Avid basketball fan Cristian Johnson stated, “Ben Simmons is the best prospect to come to the NBA since LeBron James.”
  2. LA Lakers — Brandon Ingram (Duke) – Brandon Ingram has immense raw talent, and the Lakers hope he can replace Kobe Bryant as their franchise player. Sophomore Andrew Dermanassian said, “I’m a Duke fan and Lakers fan, so I am very excited about this theoretical pick.”
  3. Boston – Dragan Bender (Croatia) – Dragan Bender could maybe be the next Kristaps Porzingis, which Boston cannot miss out.
  4. Phoenix – Buddy Hield (Oklahoma) – Buddy Hield won the wooden award for best basketball player, and is a senior, so he is extra experience.
  5. Minnesota – Jaylen Brown (Cal) – Jaylen Brown is only a freshman, but he was regarded as one of the most talented players coming out of high school, which is why he will be drafted so high.
  6. New Orleans – Jamaal Murray (Kentucky) – Sharpshooter Jamal Murray will help add perimeter offense to Anthony Davis’s Pelicans.
  7. Denver – Henry Ellenson (Marquette) – Henry Ellenson is debatably the best Center in the draft, and the Nuggets tend to go big in the draft.
  8. Sacramento – Kris Dunn (Providence) – Kris Dunn, in my opinion, is the best player in the draft. Sacramento will be getting a steal at number 9 here.
  9. Toronto – Jakob Poeltl (Utah) – Poetl is a giant – 7’1 – which is the main reason he will be going in the first round of the draft.
  10. Milwaukee– Furkan Korkmaz (Turkey) – Who knows why anybody would take a player from Turkey, of all places, but the Bucks will hope Korkmaz will help the Greek Freak lead Milwaukee to the playoffs next year.
  11. Orlando—Damontis Sabonis (Gonzaga) – Sabonis is unstoppable on the post, as he dominated Seton Hall (My final four pick L) in the first round of March Madness.
  12. Utah—Wade Baldwin IV (Vanderbilt) – Baldwin is very overrated, and somebody will make a mistake reaching for him in the first round.
  13. Suns—Marquese Chriss (Washington) – Markelle Fultz, Gonzaga College High School Superstar, will most likely be following Chriss as the next lottery pick from the University of Washington. Georgetown Prep attendee Wyatt Broyles stated, “Fultz is just a god on the court.”
  14. Bulls—Tyler Ulis (Kentucky) – Ulis is short – only 5’9 – but he can flat out play. The Bulls will hope he can be the first point guard in a long time to avoid constant injury.
