After a long season of success, Langley Track and Field returns to regionals.
Exceptional athletes will compete among rivaling Track and Field teams from opposing schools in arguably one of the most honorable meets of the year. The Northern Regional Championship will be held on May 24 and 25.
Junior pole vaulter Logan Besougloff, who also made states, recalls his rigorous training.
“It’s the hard work put in at the in-season practices, the off-season practices, the time in the weight room, and the club practices that make the difference. It definitely didn’t happen overnight,” said Besougloff.
Currently a foot injury is preventing him from training but he will participate in states the following week.
But the one element that contributes to the Track and Field team’s success the most isn’t just the players; it’s also the coaches.
“The coaches are amazing,” Besougloff continued. “They bring out the best in every athlete who is willing to work and at the same time make all of the work we put in worth it.”
