Page currently under construction. The real "About Us" page will be posted soon.

Nicole Chung

Hey everyone!  My name’s Nicole Chung and I am currently a senior at Langley and a managing editor for the Saxon Scope. I was the distribution editor in my sophomore year and the health editor in my junior year. Being on staff has been amazing because it has taught me so much about writing but has also let me make friends and have fun. I’ve participated in the Japanese program in elementary school and am currently taking Japanese here at Langley.

Victoria Snare

Hey everyone, my name is Victoria Snare, I’m a sophomore, and this is my first year on staff. I am a reporter. I swim for Machine Aquatics, LHS Swim and Dive, and the Hamlet Green Feet , I love crème brulee, and I have the entire movie, “The Parent Trap” with Lindsay Lohan memorized. I love writing for the paper because you get to awkwardly approach random people in the hallways with questions and you have a badge that makes you look legit. My favorite part of being on the paper is having your friends tell you all the typos you made in your story after the paper is distributed.

Terra Holderman

Hi guys! My name is Terra Holderman, and I’m a sophomore reporter for the Saxon Scope. It’s my first year on staff and I LOVE it! It’s a lot of work but all worth it when your story gets published. I also play fockey and JV basketball for Langley, and McLean travel soccer. I play the saxophone but not in the Langley band. I would die without my ten seasons of FRIENDS on DVD and I am obsessed with Justin Bieber.  That will never change no matter how high his voice is. Journalism is so rewarding and everyone should join!! SAXONS UNITED

Annie Cross

My name is Annie Cross I am a Sophomore and this is my first year on the paper, and I’m a reporter. My dream is for UNC fans to rule the world (and Tyler Hansbrough to suddenly appear in my life). I love basketball, collard greens and sailing. Basically, when the wind is in my face, when I’m playing basketball and I’m covered in collard greens, and when UNC is wining, my life will be complete. I love writing for the paper because its fun to explore the different aspects of the school community, ones I would never see normally. My favorite element of being on staff is finding out information before everyone else does.

Jennifer Eun

I’ve been on staff for 4 long years…starting off as a cub
reporter, then a staff writer, copy editor, and now managing editor.
A few random facts about myself: I can lick my elbow and I brag
about it all the time because everyone thinks it’s impossible when
it’s NOT. Plus, people make the funniest faces when they see me do it.
I am probably the most diligent texter to exist. I still haven’t got
caught with my phone after all these years.
You probably already know me without having to have met me because
you can hear my laugh from the other side of the building…no lie.
If there’s a loud and ugly sound, it’s most likely me walking down
the hallway. Some people hate on it, but it’ll make me famous
someday I swear.
I heart writing for the Saxon Scope because we’re the first to break
news to the school. Does anyone else get to do that? I. Think. Not.
My favorite element on being in the class/journalism would obviously
be staying at school for over 10 hours to perfect the paper…but
not really.
I love the people and the fact that all our hard work does pay off
and gives a satisfying feeling of accomplishment in the end.
